Early Years Admissions
Most pupils enter the Early Years at 2, 3 or 4 years of age into either Kindergarten or Pre-Reception Class.
Entry into Early Years is determined as follows:
- Each new child is offered a free taster day visit prior to the offer of a place.
- Parents are asked to be as open as possible about any issues relating to their child.
- In all cases where a child has been in school or nursery previously, information may be sought.
- The individual pupil is invited to spend a free taster day in school where an assessment is made by the class. Feedback is provided to the parents/guardian by the Headmistress at the end of the taster day.
The preconditions for admission are:
- The child is of the appropriate age.
- The child enjoys satisfactory general health and will be able to attend lessons and fully participate in the life of the School.
- The child’s learning difficulties and other special needs (if any) have been fully disclosed at the point of registration to the School and are, in the opinion of the Headmistress with input from the SENCo, within both the school’s and pupil’s capacity to cope. The school will make all possible reasonable adjustments for a disabled child.
- The present school report, if available and requested, is satisfactory in respect of conduct and attitude.
If you are ready to apply for a place, the first step is to fill in the registration form which can be found here
