Moving into Years 1 and 2 is an exciting time for all 5 to 7 year olds, as our staff nurture a love of learning through a broad curriculum and stimulating activities.

Children are gradually introduced to a more formal way of learning, with Pre-Prep expanding upon the practices and understanding that our pupils learn and develop in our Early Years classes. 

Our dedicated teachers know every child as an individual, and provide the support and encourgement to allow them to flourish. They continue their journey with the Read Write Inc. Phonics programme through structured lessons that help build consistency and fluency in their reading and writing skills. 

By setting Pre-Prep pupils a small amount of homework each day, we begin to see them take their learning into their own hands; this will serve them well as they progress on their educational journey with us.

Beyond the classroom children attend a weekly assembly on Mondays, PE and swimming lessons, and a variety of extra curricular activities such as horse-riding and chess club, to develop them into well-rounded and curious individuals.
